SMASHED was filmed as part of the Lewiston Youth Advisory Council's (Maine) underage U BOOZE U LOOZE peer-to-peer drinking awareness campaign and was professionally filmed due to a grant from the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety. The film features reflections of what led up to the death of a friend who was drinking underage and decided to get into a car with a driver who was also drinking. "If your best friend made a bad decision, what kind of friend would you be?"
